As a Rail Transit Engineer based out of Irvine, California , you’ll have the opportunity to design horizontal and vertical track alignments, and trackwork components on a variety of exciting large rail projects across the country. In this position you will be supporting various aspect of track/rail design, calculations and engineering services on both design-build and design-bid-build projects.

Working alongside a team of technicians and engineers, you’ll be responsible for creating drawings and simulations using software tools and resources supporting our clients’ overall project goals.

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• California Professional Engineer (PE) License or the ability to obtain within 12 months.
• At least 5 years of demonstrated professional experience on rail and transit projects.
• Professional expertise with Microstation, Power InRail, and OpenRail.
• Knowledge of FRA/DOT, AREMA, SCRRA and other local railroad criteria.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to assemble plan sets meeting client expectations.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

• Professional expertise with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• 3D modeling Experience
• Experience on both Freight and Commuter Rail project

The base salary range for this position is $97,700.00 to $152,700.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
