This position is located in the Home Loans Division and is responsible for performing duties associated with administration of the California Department of Veterans Affairs CalVet Home Loan Program. The incumbent is expected to possess a high degree of knowledge and experience with real estate loan processing. The incumbent must also have an expert understanding of USDVA lending guidelines and other program and product types; real estate principles, practices, documents and legal instruments used in loan processing; lending compliance; disclosure and privacy laws; and rules and regulations, including the California Military and Veterans Code and Title 12 of the California Code of Regulations; and knowledge of how to correct any non compliance issues that may arise during the processing of a home loan.

Veterans may qualify for a CalVet Veterans Hiring Preference. Military service must be included in the Employment History section of the Employment Applications (STD. 678).
