Claims Adjuster II (Workers’ Compensation ) – California (100% Remote)

Schedule: West Coast hours (M–F, 8am–5pm PDT)
Salary: $60,000–$84,000 + comprehensive benefits
Location: Remote (U.S. only)

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster II to manage California WC claims with moderate medical, indemnity, and litigation exposure. You’ll handle claims from start to finish—investigating, evaluating, reserving, and driving proactive resolution, while delivering exceptional customer service.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct initial claim investigations, verify coverage, and determine compensability

• Set accurate reserves and maintain detailed claim documentation

• Communicate professionally with claimants, employers, providers, and internal teams

• Manage medical treatment plans and control costs using internal/external resources

• Handle litigation strategy, work with defense counsel, and negotiate settlements

• Review, prioritize, and close claims efficiently

• Ensure compliance with state regulations and company guidelines

What You Bring

• 2–5 years of workers’ comp claims adjusting or insurance experience

• Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation laws

• Excellent communication, organization, and decision-making skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Applicable state adjuster license (or ability to obtain within required timeframe)

• Insurance certifications (WCCP, AIC, ARM, CPCU) a plus

Work Environment

• Fully remote role; requires a private, quiet workspace

• Occasional travel for meetings may be required
