We are seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager (Bay Area) responsible for the overall delivery of multiple projects, including cost, schedule, quality, contracts, and information flow. This role reports directly to Jacobs’ Regional Manager or a third‑party Owner’s Representative (Program Manager) and oversees management‑level staff across several concurrent project assignments.
This may include limited Design oversight and Procurement support but focuses primarily on the oversight of general contractors and the immediate construction project teams, as well as administration and controls for all assigned projects. This position is client facing and serves as the highest-ranking onsite Jacobs representative, emphasizing Schedule, Cost, Scope and Safety. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
• Manages project development from pre-construction through completion (both large and small) in accordance with program objectives
• Manages all budgets, schedules, scope development, design and construction contracts, documents, procedures and controls for assigned projects
• Manages the review and approval process for consultant invoices and contractor pay applications and change orders and coordinates with Controls Manager for proper posting in reporting program
• Attends assigned meetings to cover weekly project progress and issues meeting minutes
• Resolves complex construction related issues, disputes, and disagreements
• Reviews status and monitors variances in scheduling and cost control reporting as recorded in the construction project management information system
• Exercises excellent communication skills, as this position is client facing
• Will multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Here's what you'll need
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
•15+ years of experience as a Project Manager in a Construction, Engineering, or Architectural organization
• Experience taking direction from third-party owners’ representative (PMO) while managing staff on multiple projects
• Proven experience with projects on active Community College campuses, focused on modernization and new construction using both conventional and alternative delivery methods
• Work experience with Bond-funded programs
• Experience on projects with budgets exceeding $125 Million
• Experience with DSA and AHJ’s
• Proven communications and stakeholder management skills
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
• Significant California Community College experience, especially in Northern California
• Experience with Programs greater than $250 Million installed cost
• Well versed in Public Contract Code
• Experience in Design Management
• Experience with Deferred Maintenance projects
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect license/certification

164,800.00

The base salary range for this position is $164,800.00 to $250,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
