Junior Graphics Specialist (Hourly)

The Graphics Specialist produces engaging visual content, both print and digital, to support all functions across the business. Reports to the Graphics Manager.

• Creates content including posters, product signs, price tags, demonstration signs, table cards, menus and flyers needed for restaurants, in-store events, retail displays and promotions
• Updates and maintains menus as needed by Eataly restaurants
• Assists in designing and publishing weekly email newsletters
• Generates and retouches photos - including food, space and portrait photography
• Works collaboratively at a fast pace with a wide range of peers and managers
• Fulfills all incoming retail requests and production tasks as needed and according to urgency
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communication Design, Graphic Design and/or Art preferred
• 2+ consecutive years of design experience, preferably in the food or retail industry
• Knowledge of print layout, typography and print production
• Creative eye and exceptional attention to detail
• Positive attitude, patience and willingness to be flexible and readjust priorities as needed
• Digital photography skills with the ability to operate SLR camera preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat
• Knowledge of Italian language preferred but not required

The pay rate for this position is: $18-$20 /hour
