Onsite Patient Services Coordinator
The Patient Service Representative is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by managing a high volume of inbound calls and supporting patient scheduling and communication needs. This role serves as a key point of contact between patients, providers, and internal departments to ensure accurate appointment management and a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle high volume of incoming calls daily from patients, healthcare providers, insurance carriers, and external partners.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by professionally greeting callers, actively listening, addressing needs, and ensuring a positive resolution on every interaction.
- Coordinate patient scheduling activities, including booking, rescheduling, and canceling appointments through phone, text messaging, and patient portal platforms.
- Triage and route calls to the appropriate departments while supporting accurate patient registration and appointment management within the EMR system.
- Accurately document messages and patient communications using established workflows and templates.
- Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams to support seamless patient care and operations.
- Maintain knowledge of organizational services, programs, and resources to assist callers effectively.
- Consistently meet established productivity, quality, and performance standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years experience in customer service, call center, or healthcare setting.
- Fluent in spoken and written English; bilingual a plus
Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday 10am - 6:00pm PST
- During training, must match trainer schedule (historically 8:00/8:30 AM – 5:00 PM )
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
