POSITION OVERVIEW
The Front Receptionist role at Allstate Floral serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately (with a smile!); notifies company personnel of visitor arrival. Visitors include customers, employees, business partners, vendors, etc. Duties also include providing general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. This person is outgoing and enjoys interacting with people. This position is 100% onsite. Candidates will undergo testing for typing, Excel, basic math with word problems, and Spanish translation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Must be prepared to start taking calls and greeting visitors by the start of our business day (8:30AM), or earlier as needed.
- Welcomes all visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answers or refers inquiries.
- Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; provides instructions.
- Maintains security by following procedures; monitors in & out visitors.
- Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Answers and screens telephone calls (using a hands-free headset) and directs or forwards the caller to the appropriate employee with accuracy. Transfers a caller to an employee’s voice mailbox when the associate is unavailable.
- Clearly and audibly pages people and provides announcements over the company intercom system.
- Receives, sorts, and forwards incoming mail and package delivery with accuracy. Maintains and routes publications.
- Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)
- Assists with sorting and distribution of invoices and mail, and other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing, and collating.
- Maintains the company vehicles log with accuracy; notifies manager if vehicles did not return on-time.
- Assist Customer Care department by taking care of customers’ requests. Capable of learning new programs as trained.

PAY RANGE $18.00-$20.00 hourly, depending on experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds without assistance and opening filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma required; college education preferred
- One year of office administrative experience required; 2 years of related experience preferred
- Bilingual Spanish required.
