Work you'll do

As a Senior Consultant, Strategy & Transformation on the Business Finance team, you will be responsible for...
  • Assessing current-state finance, planning, budgeting, forecasting, costing, and grants management processes and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Analyzing financial, operational, and program data to develop insights, recommendations, and client-ready deliverables
  • Supporting the design and implementation of finance transformation solutions, process improvements, and operating model changes
  • Managing project tasks, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and tracking milestones to support delivery objectives
  • Preparing presentations, status updates, and documentation for client meetings, executive reviews, and decision-making

Our Business Finance offering enables finance to drive strategic value through transformation and synchronization of planning, costing, budgeting and forecasting across finance and other functions. Using advanced, scalable data and tech platforms, we also generate actionable insights and analytics, streamline decision making and enable data driven profitable growth. Manages risk and opportunities associated with diverse and complex grant programs through end-to-end grants management solutions.

Qualifications

Required :
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Active Secret security clearance required
  • 5+ years of experience in finance transformation, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, costing, or grants management
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing financial, operational, or program data and developing recommendations
  • Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
  • Experience serving federal, state, local government, or public higher education clients
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning, enterprise performance management, or financial planning and analysis tools
  • Experience supporting grants management programs
  • Experience with process mapping, business requirements gathering, or target operating model design
  • Master's degree

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,300 to $188,900.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
