Accounting Clerk

Position Overview:

Liberty Behavioral & Community Service Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Managing accounts payable using QuickBooks and other programs.

. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely manner.

· Handling accounts receivable/payable

· Establishing and maintaining relationships with new vendors

· Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures.

· Processing due invoices for payments.

. Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

· Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling bank for month end close.

· Keep record of all transactions/receipts for reconciliation of company credit cards.

Qualifications:

• Must have experience with processing or be familiar with Insurance billing.
• 10 years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in business finance or related field.
• Must have knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare insurance billing and other healthcare functions.
• Must have experience with clinical codes/medical billings.
• Must be familiar with QuickBooks, and other accounting tools, AP/AR month end closing, forecasting, financials, etc.
• Experience utilizing (GAAP).
• Advanced knowledge and experiences of spreadsheets.
• Advanced knowledge of pivot.
• Understands Payroll processing.
• Should be familiar with ADP, Tax filing for DE9 and 941 quarterly returns with multiple entity knowledge.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proficiency in financial report writing and analysis.

Salary: $30.00 per hour

This position is onsite: Monday - Friday, 9am-6pm.
