2nd VP Committees
This committee reports to the 2nd VP and works together with the administration to welcome and offer support to incoming families through their first year at Curtis. Communication with incoming families will begin in April upon their admission to Curtis. Each committee member will be assigned as a Buddy, responsible for multiple families. The expectation is to welcome the new families, communicate about important dates (back to school, curriculum meeting, PA meetings, etc.), help acclimate to the community, and explain room parent communications when necessary. This committee is ideal for someone who is interested in helping facilitate a smooth and welcoming transition for our new families. If you are also interested in the 2nd VP position, this is a great place to start. Time Commitment:
The position begins in late spring, once new families are notified of acceptance. It requires a significant time commitment, with most of the work taking place in the fall and continuing throughout the school year. Quarterly committee meetings are standard.
