Job Details Job Details: Are you a seasoned professional in the construction industry with a passion for managing projects from inception to completion? Do you have the ability to lead teams, coordinate with various stakeholders, and ensure all deliverables are met on time and within budget? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Permanent Project Manager in our progressive construction company. This role is a unique blend of strategic planning, team management, and hands-on involvement in construction projects. Our ideal candidate is someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved in the day-to-day operations of construction projects while also having the foresight and strategic ability to plan and manage large-scale projects. Responsibilities: As a Permanent Project Manager, you will: 1. Plan, organize, and direct activities concerning the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
2. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation.
3. Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
4. Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, or other regulations.
5. Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to representatives of the owner or developer, including administrative staff, workers, or clients.
6. Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
7. Ensure all project goals are met while adhering to approved budgets. Qualifications: To be considered for this exciting role, candidates must possess: 1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
3. Proficiency in project management software tools.
4. Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
5. Experience in managing, developing, and coaching teams.
6. Strong familiarity with construction safety regulations and procedures.
7. Bachelor's degree in construction science, construction management, architecture, or engineering is preferred.
8. PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
9. Experience with CHPS (Collaborative for High Performance Schools) or equivalent is a must.
