Trial Library, Inc. is a venture-backed startup founded in 2022, focused on accelerating enrollment and retention in clinical trials with an AI platform. We are dedicated to improving health equity in cancer care by expanding access to precision medicine through clinical trials. We collaborate with community oncology sites, patients, and industry partners to make clinical research accessible, navigable, and inclusive.

Role: Chief Product Officer (CPO)

You will lead the product vision, strategy, and execution across Trial Librarys technology platform. This role suits a mission-driven product leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about improving access to care through digital innovation. You will work closely with engineering, clinical operations, partnerships, and design teams to ensure our product meets the needs of patients, providers, and industry partners.

Objectives of this Role

  1. Own and drive the overall product vision, roadmap, and strategy to support company goals and enhance patient and provider experiences.
  2. Leverage AI and automation at the core of our product development to improve efficiency and maintain a competitive edge.
  3. Build and scale a high-performing product team, including product managers and designers.
  4. Promote user-centered design and foster an iterative, data-driven product development culture.
  5. Ensure effective collaboration with engineering and design teams, balancing speed and quality.
  6. Define KPIs, OKRs, and product metrics; monitor performance to achieve meaningful business and user outcomes.
  7. Support pilot programs and strategic partnerships by delivering MVPs and validating early use cases.
  8. Collaborate with clinical operations, marketing, and business development to align initiatives.
  9. Represent the company in strategic partnerships, client meetings, and investor discussions regarding product.
  10. Embed product thinking into all company aspectsfrom strategy to marketing and clinical engagementand foster a culture of experimentation and continuous delivery.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years in product management or related roles in digital health, SaaS, or consumer tech.
  • Strong technical background with experience in regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA, clinical trials, health data security).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including requirements analysis, debugging, and risk assessment.
  • Proven ability to lead a product from concept to market launch and scale.
  • Expertise in user-centered design, product discovery, agile methodologies, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Deep understanding of software development cycles and technical concepts; ability to collaborate with engineering teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills; able to clearly convey vision, tradeoffs, and priorities to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical mindset; adept at working with data and user insights for decision-making.
  • Leadership qualities such as accountability, transparent communication, and fostering innovation.

Experience

  • Proven track record of delivering complex, interactive consumer sites/software.
  • Familiarity with enterprise healthcare clients (e.g., health systems, payers) and patient-facing platforms.
  • Experience with clinical trials, healthcare data, EMRs, HIPAA, and PHI protection.
  • Experience building AI platforms.
