Sr/Principal Product Manager, 3D and 4D Generation

The mission of the Foundation AI group is to enable Roblox Creators to accelerate their workflows and to put GenAI in the hands of millions of users through their creations. We envision a future in which experiences on Roblox leverage generative text and speech capabilities to enable new forms of interactions in their experiences and generative 3D and 4D capabilities to enable new ways to create on the platform.

We shipped our 3D foundation model earlier this year that takes text prompts as input and generates production ready 3D objects. We will extend the vision towards leveraging multi-modal input – image, video, and 3D assets. And further evolve these static objects to 4D objects which make them functional and interactive all while providing developers with full control over their game rules, physics and systems. This is the next step in truly dynamic, AI-Powered player creation.

As the Product Manager for the Foundation AI group, you will advance our 3D and 4D generation service strategy and vision, enable new creation workflows and enable Roblox creations to use AI to unlock new forms of in-experience creation and make every user a creator.

You will:

• Build a vision and strategy that delights users and creators and leads to industry-defining innovation in 3D and 4D Generation..


• Deeply understand the model capabilities needed, to support and enhance our creators workflows


• Work across the company - with engine, creator, safety, economy to enable AI being a core part of game play.


• Develop comprehensive evaluation for our models, leveraging player feedback to influence model quality improvements.


• Manage from vision through the product life cycle from planning through to launch.


• Deterministically find and prioritize the most impactful challenges by working with creators and analyzing how our model is being used


• Provide guidance and insights to non-technical audiences and hold your own with world-class AI researchers and data scientists.

You have:

• A track record of solving hard problems.


• Proven experience in building, shipping or supporting 3D content creation tools or pipelines


• A history of collaborating with engineering teams and other stakeholders to deliver complex technical products on time.


• A Masters degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, 3D Animation or Games Production or a similar technical field


• A deep understanding of the product life cycle, from concept to launch and ongoing support


• Passion for driving user-centric product decisions with an inclusive and strategic mindset


• A high degree of independent drive.
