Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Wholesale Mortgage Originator for a direct hire opportunity in Aliso Viejo, CA. This role is designed for a proven private money mortgage professional with an active, transferable network of high-producing mortgage brokers, luxury real estate agents, high-net-worth borrowers, and professional referral sources.

This is not an entry-level or call-center position. The ideal candidate will bring immediate relationship-driven production potential and the ability to originate private money and bridge loans secured by high-value California real estate. The role offers the opportunity to work in a professional, accountable, and high-performance environment where sound judgment, responsiveness, discretion, and relationship quality are essential to long-term success.

This position is a strong fit for an experienced originator who values a collaborative office setting, direct communication, supportive leadership, and the ability to build a consistent pipeline through trusted referral partnerships rather than purchased leads.

Key Responsibilities

- Activate and expand existing referral relationships to source high-value private money and bridge loan opportunities.
- Qualify and structure loans by evaluating collateral, borrower strength, leverage, liquidity, timing, and exit strategy.
- Lead transactions from inquiry through funding by coordinating commitments, underwriting, processing, closing, and client communication.
- Maintain clear, responsive communication with referral partners, borrowers, and internal teams while setting accurate expectations.
- Own pipeline management, including CRM activity, next steps, projected volume, conversion ratios, and production forecasts.
- Follow company policies and applicable private money lending requirements while maintaining strong credit discipline.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary: $70,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Originate private money and bridge loan opportunities secured by California real estate.
- Build and manage a pipeline of qualified loans in the $1.5 million to $5 million range.
- Develop repeat referral business from mortgage brokers, luxury real estate agents, affluent borrowers, and professional referral partners.
- Coordinate loan commitments, submissions, closing activity, CRM reporting, and production forecasting.

- Minimum of five years of successful mortgage origination experience.
- Substantial recent experience in private money, bridge, or non-agency lending.
- Active and productive network of high-end referral relationships capable of generating immediate opportunities.
- Verifiable success funding loans in or near the $1.5 million to $5 million target range.
- Strong knowledge of California luxury and high-value real estate markets, especially Southern California and premier coastal markets.
- Ability to evaluate collateral quality, borrower strength, liquidity, leverage, timing, and exit strategy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive presence and professional discretion.
- Highly responsive, organized, resourceful, accountable, and comfortable working full-time from the Aliso Viejo office.
- Ability to maintain consistent relationship development, prospecting, follow-up, CRM activity, pipeline reporting, and production forecasts.

Preferred Qualifications

- Established referral relationships with Southern California mortgage brokers, luxury real estate agents, high-net-worth borrowers, and professional advisors.
- Proven history of generating repeat business from relationship-based private money lending sources.
- Experience originating loans secured by properties valued from $3 million to $20 million.
- Strong familiarity with premier coastal California markets and high-value residential real estate transactions.
