CNC MACHINIST - 1ST SHIFT
Location: Rancho Cucamonga, California 91730

Responsibilities

• Setup and operates CNC machines (3-5 axis).
• Maintain high productivity while machining quality parts.
• Performs first article inspection on every set-up.
• Meet run and set-up time standards on work order. Run multiple machines at a time.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, process sheets and work instructions to determine tooling requirements, set-up procedures, dimensional specifications and machining to be done.
• Loads control media in machine controller or enter commands to retrieve programs from file server. Makes minor edits to programs.
• Performs own inspection utilizing precision measurement instruments.
• Maintain lean and orderly "5s" work environment.
• Other activities related to quality and assigned by Supervisor.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• 5 years minimum experience working as a CNC Machinist.
• Proficient in the use of inspection tools (calipers, mics, and gauges).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and travelers.
• Well organized; detailed oriented; strong work ethics and ability to self-motivate.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints.
• Basic understanding of CNC machine controls.
• Proficiency in interpreting work orders and technical documents.
• Familiarity with basic shop math.
• Competency in using bore gauges.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

• Talk and hear
• Sit and use hands and fingers to handle or feel
• Occasionally stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Perceive the nature of sounds by ear
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and works with oil.
• Works in a moderately noisy environment
