Job Description and Duties

This position is eligible to telework up to two (2) days a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. This is subject to change based on operational need and/or future return to office orders. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Under the general direction of the Administration Division Manager ll, the Supervisor II in the Administration Unit independently administers the Office of State Publishing (OSP) business operational policies and procedures for the oversight of a moderate to medium sized professional and technical staff responsible for carrying out the essential functions, program objectives and goals of OSP's administration programs.

This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year.

Special Requirements

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

• Demonstrated experience leading and managing multiple administrative units of functional areas.
• Extensive experience in developing, monitoring, and managing budgets, performing budget analysis, and reporting requirements.
• Experience supervising or collaborating with multiple units, proven ability to analyze and evaluate administrative processes, identify efficiencies, and implement improvements.
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct complex programs and projects while anticipating operational needs, delivering results that align with organizational strategy.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing executive-level reports and presentations.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret budget and operational data, identify trends, develop recommendations, and resolve issues
