Occupational Therapist Job Details

• Location: Sonora, CA (ZIP 95370) – California healthcare jobs
• Facility Setting: Rehabilitation Unit
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens / Travel Occupational Therapist
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 8/29/2025 – End: 11/28/2025)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day shifts
• Shift Length: 12-hour days
• Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1620–$1660
• On-Call: No call required

Occupational Therapist Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist license in California
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist in a rehabilitation or clinical setting
• Ability to provide 3 professional references
• Successful completion of background checks (county, federal, multi-state, sex offender, HHS/OIG, GSA, SAM)
• Negative drug screen and physical exam required
• 1 Step PPD or Quantiferon, or proof of positive PPD and chest X-ray
• LA Fire Safety Card (renewed every 4 years)

Occupational Therapist Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, or developmental challenges to enhance daily living skills
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical staff
• Participate in discharge planning and provide patient education
