Photography Coordinator

FULL TIME - 90 DAY CONTRACT / SAN DIEGO, CA

The Photography Coordinator supports the end-to-end photo production process, with an emphasis on pre-production assistance, on-set support, and foundational post-production tasks. Will report to the Director of Photography.

THE WORK

• Assist with photo shoots, supporting the on-set team in roles such as Grip, lighting technicians, and digital capture (Digitech).
• Learning commercial photography
• Pre-Production
• Assist with ideation and creation of concept decks, moodboards, and shotlists.
• Learn to translate brand style guidelines into concepting and mood boarding.
• Support concept deck buildouts, ensuring visual consistency and alignment with agency design standards.
• Prep gear packages and studio needs based on shot list requirements

Requirements

• Can compose basic shots under direction
• Proficient in studio lighting setup and breakdown
• Lighting plots
• Strong equipment handling, inventory, and maintenance
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient camera operation
• Artistic eye in building presentation decks
