CNC Machinist - 3 & 5 Axis Mills

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC milling machines in a precision manufacturing environment. This role involves machining complex components while maintaining tight tolerances and ensuring high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3 Axis and 5 Axis CNC milling machines according to job specifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine machining requirements

• Operate machines using Fanuc 15MB and 30i controls. Siemens 840D or Heidenhain experience is a plus

• Machine materials such as Invar, Aluminum, Composite, and Graphite

• Perform full machine setups and maintain tight tolerances throughout the machining process

• Use manual inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges to verify part accuracy

• Input hole patterns and radii using MDI

• Calculate spindle speeds, feed rates, and chip loads based on materials and tooling

• Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper care of equipment

• Work closely with team members to meet production schedules and quality standards

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC milling machines, preferably 5 Axis

• Experience with Fanuc 15MB and 30i controls required. Siemens 840D or Heidenhain experience preferred

• Ability to read blueprints and maintain tight machining tolerances

• Experience machining materials such as Invar, Aluminum, Composite, and Graphite

• Strong understanding of machining processes and techniques

• Experience using manual inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges

• Ability to perform shop math including trigonometry and apply GD&T principles

• Ability to input hole patterns and radii using MDI

• CNC Machinist certification preferred

• Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus
