We are currently seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join a dynamic outpatient clinic in Monterey, CA. Located along the breathtaking Monterey Bay Coastline , this opportunity places you in one of California's most iconic destinations. From the charm of Cannery Row to world-renowned seafood, dramatic ocean cliffs, and unforgettable West Coast sunsets, Monterey offers the perfect balance of work and lifestyle. It’s no surprise this is a contract location clinicians often request time and time again.

Details of the role:

• Anticipated start date: Flexible
• Salary range: Up to $1,764 weekly
• Anticipated duration of contract: 13 weeks

Scope of Work:

• Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Provide therapeutic exercises, transfer training, gait training, and mobility interventions
• Assist patients with early mobilization following surgery, illness, or injury
• Monitor vital signs and patient response to activity, reporting changes to the PT and medical team
• Support safe patient handling and use of assistive devices
• Document treatments and patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
• Collaborate with nursing, case management, and interdisciplinary team members
• Educate patients and families on mobility techniques and discharge recommendations
• Maintain infection control and hospital safety standards
• Assist with discharge planning to ensure safe transitions of care

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Active California PTA license
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
