Aperto Property Management, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Staff Accountant to join our corporate team in Irvine, CA . This position is ideal for a recent graduate with a degree in Accounting or Finance who is ready to begin their career in property management accounting. The Staff Accountant will support the Senior Staff Accountants in managing a regional property portfolio and assist with Accounts Payable functions, as well as various accounting projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile multiple bank accounts, including tracking and recording interest and fees.
• Record and monitor all subsidy payments, ensuring accurate allocation and timely communication with site staff.
• Maintain accuracy of general ledger data and assist with month-end close processes.
• Support analysis of balance sheet accounts, income statement trends, and budget variances.
• Prepare quarterly reserve withdrawal packages for lender approval and submission.
• Track daily cash receipts and manage non-sufficient funds (NSFs).
• Assist in preparing monthly distribution requests.
• Work collaboratively with Senior Accountants on special projects.
• Manage a small portfolio of properties independently, with appropriate support and guidance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Exposure to Yardi Voyager or similar property management/accounting software is preferred.
• Prior experience in property management accounting is a plus,but not required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
