Android Developer

Akkodis is seeking an Android Developer for a Contract with a client in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ship new features and ensure app quality through thorough testing and debugging .

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Android Developer job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin and the Android SDK.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including UX/UI and backend engineers to define, build, and deliver new features.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, ensuring adherence to Android development best practices.

• Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure high‑quality and stable app releases.

• Integrate RESTful APIs, third‑party libraries, and external SDKs to enhance application functionality.

• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and automation frameworks (such as Espresso, Python/NodeJS) to improve development efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 8–10 years of hands‑on Android development experience.

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Android SDK, and Android Studio with a solid understanding of mobile development best practices.

• Experience with mobile test automation frameworks (Espresso) and scripting languages such as Python or NodeJS .

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
