Security Officer

About the Role
We’re hiring professional, observant, and reliable Security Officers to join a dynamic security team at a private corporate campus in San Jose, CA. Positions are available on day, swing, and overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.

This is an ideal opportunity for individuals committed to safety, situational awareness, and excellent customer service. You’ll support access control, perimeter security, incident response, and on-site reporting, while operating within a team-driven and tech-enabled environment.

What You’ll Do

• Patrol the premises on foot or by vehicle to monitor for irregularities
• Control access for employees, visitors, and vendors
• Enforce client policies and procedures professionally
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies
• Prepare accurate and timely reports and daily activity logs
• Conduct fire watch and hazard identification as assigned
• Provide proactive customer service to all occupants and guests
• Use app-based platforms to track patrols, communicate, and report incidents

Shifts Available

• Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Swing Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM
• Night Shift: 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM

Weekend availability preferred

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid California Guard Card (Required)
• Powers to Arrest Certificate (8-hour course)
• Valid driver’s license & clean driving record (21+ to drive company vehicle)
• Prior security or law enforcement experience required
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable using mobile reporting apps (training provided)
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance

Preferred Experience

• Corporate, campus, or tech-industry security settings
• Familiarity with post orders, SOP compliance, and electronic reporting
• Conflict de-escalation and customer-facing roles
