Under the direction of a Printing Plant Superintendent, in Digital Print & Mailing Services (DP&MS), the position assists a Printing Plant Superintendent and supervises a group of employees and is responsible for directing production functions, monitoring the daily operations of production staff, maintaining workload and enforcing a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with the Office of State Publishing (OSP) policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Physical Abilities:

  • Requires working in a large, dusty industrial facility with noisy surroundings. Hearing protection is provided.
  • Requires physical work: frequent and prolonged periods of remaining stationary, and moving about for extended distances, climbing, bending stopping kneeing, squatting, lifting, and transporting of objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • May require the ability to work overtime.
  • May require the ability to temporarily cover different shifts for emergency situations to meet operational needs. Such shift changes are limited to less than 30 days.

The completed SOQ should not be longer than one (1) page in length, single-spaced, 12 point font. The SOQ should address the following:
