Position Summary
In this position, you will be managing a construction team of 5-10 people. You will be reporting directly to the Construction Supervisor or Project Manager responsible for your projects. You will be the person responsible for the landscape and irrigation installation of each project you are assigned.
Responsibilities
- Work under general supervision of the Project Manager & Supervisor
- Ensure proper, safe, efficient, and timely completion of landscape installation projects
- Thoroughly understand and review all project related documents provided including scope of work, plans, details, specifications, RFI’s, submittals, change orders, etc.
- Install all aspects of irrigation systems including programming of controllers, flow sensors, decoders, etc.
- Hardscape installation, including base rock, pavers, DG, gravel, boulders, etc.
- Attend site meetings as required
- Manage sub-tier subcontractors as required
- Handle day-to-day operations of construction crew
- Utilize Aspire to clock in crew on mobile app and manage labor hours
- Perform weekly safety meetings on Got Safety app
- Site clean up
- Maintain equipment and vehicle at a basic level (weekly inspections to ensure safe operation)
- Ability to check email, calendar, Microsoft Teams, Aspire Issues and Fieldwire
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Possess valid Calif. Driver’s license and be insurable under K&D insurance guidelines
- A broad understanding of planting, drainage, irrigation, sitework
- Able to perform physical activities such as squatting, digging, kneeling, walking, lifting, twisting, stooping, climbing, bending, crouching, and balance
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- 3-5 years’ experience in Landscape Construction with extensive knowledge of irrigation systems, plants, landscape construction materials, and installation procedures
- Working knowledge of power tools & Equipment, their care, proper use, and related safety requirements
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
- Year round work
Experience:
- Landscape Construction: 2 years (Required)
- Irrigation: 1 year (Preferred)
