Senior Interior Designer
We are hiring a Senior Designer to lead the design vision for commercial workplace interior projects while supporting new business development efforts. This role blends hands-on design leadership with strategic involvement in client pursuits, presentations, and concept development.
You will take ownership of design across both active projects and prospective opportunities, working closely with leadership to shape workplace environments that are functional, high-quality, and design-driven. This is an ideal role for someone who can operate independently while elevating design standards across the firm.
Responsibilities
- Lead design for workplace interior projects from concept through delivery
- Partner with leadership on design strategy for new client pursuits and presentations
- Develop space plans, test fits, and layout options aligned with client needs and workplace functionality
- Produce high-quality renderings and visual materials for client presentations and approvals
- Oversee design development, including material selection, finishes, and detailing
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and external partners to ensure design intent is maintained
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and design reviews as a design lead
- Balance project design work with support on proposals and new business opportunities
- Ensure designs align with budgets, schedules, and constructability requirements
- Stay current on workplace trends, materials, and design innovations
Requirements
- 7–12+ years of experience in commercial interior design, with a focus on workplace environments
- Strong experience in space planning, test fits, and corporate office design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools
- Proven ability to produce client-ready presentations and high-quality visualizations
- Experience working directly with clients in a design lead or senior designer role
- Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and detailing in high-end interiors
- Ability to work independently while contributing to team collaboration and business development efforts
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field required
