Retail Job Coach

Achievement House Inc. (AHI) is a local nonprofit that has served the Central Coast for almost 70 years. Our mission at AHI is dedicated to providing services that encourage and support individuals with disabilities, so that they may successfully achieve their personal and professional goals. 

As a Retail Job Coach you will be providing support and training to the individuals served in various program and work settings. This is a Full time position Monday through Friday, with some weekend availability.

Typical day-to-day activities include:

• Provide individuals with continuous instructions for work specific to vocational growth and training objectives that guarantee and correspond with abilities and development.

• Execute and monitor contract requirements to ensure quality of workmanship and customer expectations are being satisfied.

• Adhere to internal operating procedures that include, preparing documents of daily cash records, inventory records and daily deposit of cash receipts.

• Will work with a variety of Individuals’ served, and be able to adjust to the group’s needs.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver's license as driving is a requirement for this position 

• Must be able to successfully pass a LiveScan background check

• Must have reliable transportation- driving is an essential function

• Must be patient, compassionate, and able to be a role model for adults with disabilities

• Must be able to work independently

• Must be organized and have good time management skills

• Comfortable walking and standing for long periods of time

• Comfortable creating and following lesson plans and curriculum 

• Basic computer/technology skills and knowledge

Anticipated hiring rate is $23.00/hr
