About This Role

As an Engineer at Jubilee, you’ll support the development and maintenance of our nectar dating app! You’ll work directly with leadership and have a visible impact on a product used by tens of thousands of users, with the opportunity to shape how it evolves as we scale. You’ll be shipping features across our mobile apps and backend, working with design, product, and engineering to turn ideas into reality. You’ll write clean code, help build APIs and manage data, and jump in to fix bugs and make things run smoother and more efficiently for our Gen-Z user base! We’re looking for someone excited to grow with the team and make a meaningful impact over time—not just complete tasks.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and ship features across our mobile apps (iOS/Android) and backend systems
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to bring ideas to life
• ​​Work across the full stack without relying on handoffs—debugging issues whether they originate in mobile, backend, or infrastructure.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Support API development, integrations, and database management
• Debug issues across the stack and help improve performance and reliability
• Contribute to code reviews and continuously improve code quality and engineering practices
• Contribute to internal tools and systems that support content and growth teams

Who You Are:

• 1-3+years of experience in software development (internships, bootcamps, or personal projects count)
• You’ve built things outside of work or school—apps, tools, or experiments—and can walk us through your thinking and decisions.
• Solid understanding of mobile development (React Native, Expo)
• You’re comfortable working with incomplete requirements and can help shape solutions, not just implement them.
• Working knowledge of backend development (Node.js)
• Experience working with APIs, databases, and version control (Git)
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn and contribute
• Thrives in a highly collaborative and fast-moving environment
• Passion for building products that people actually use and love

Work Model

At Jubilee, we follow a hybrid work model — We’re in the El Segundo office 3 days a week and remote for 2. So, you’ll need to be local or ready to make the move!
