Software Engineer
Now Hiring: Software Builder – San Francisco (In-Person | Full-Time)
Full-Time | Mid–Senior Level | Immediate On-Site Start Required
Location: San Francisco, CA (On-Site Only)
Work Model: In person, 3–5 days per week (preferably 5)
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Opportunity
Talent Depot is hiring on behalf of a fast-growing AI platform startup, seeking exceptional engineers ready to build from the ground up. You’ll work across the stack in a high-impact, low-ego team environment, contributing to product development, infrastructure, and customer solutions in real time.
If you're energized by rapid iteration, shipping clean production code, and working closely with users, this is your chance to join a highly selective, product-minded engineering team.
What You’ll Do
Build and maintain full-stack features using TypeScript, Node.js, React, SQL, and AWS
Ship iteratively while upholding strong code quality standards
Collaborate directly with users to improve the product experience
Work closely with the team on-site in San Francisco (3–5 days/week)
Contribute across engineering, product, and infrastructure as needed
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
These are strong indicators of a good fit—not strict requirements:
2+ years of experience writing production-level code
Prior experience at a small but high-performing tech company (under 100 employees)
Strong communication, decision-making, and adaptability in fast-paced environments
Comfort with ambiguity, early-stage product development, and self-direction
Bonus: startup experience, side projects, open source contributions, hackathon wins
Preferred Background (Internal Priorities)
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a Top 20 CS program (e.g., UC Berkeley, Stanford, CMU, MIT)
Work Experience:
Experience at highly respected engineering/product companies (e.g., Ramp, Cruise, Brex, Rippling, Snorkel)
Early-stage startup experience as a founding engineer or early hire
Technical Expertise:
Deep experience with Node.js and TypeScript
Strong skills with RESTful APIs, JavaScript, and SQL
Familiarity with AWS environments
Additional Requirements:
Must be authorized to work and start on-site immediately (OPT, TN, or H1B transfer eligible)
Willingness to relocate to San Francisco if not already local
Comfortable interacting with clients and occasional travel (1–2x/year)
Benefits
Why This Role Stands Out
Be part of a breakout AI platform from its early stages
Work with a tight-knit, high-caliber engineering team
Help shape product direction, architecture, and culture
Competitive compensation, real impact, and long-term opportunity
