Staff Test Engineer
Description
As an Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for designing and implementing control electronics for optical modules and production equipment. Your role will involve developing innovative solutions to enhance the performance and reliability of our products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers software developers and production staff to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out electronics design under the guidance of senior members of the design team.
- Use PADS PCB software to generate schematics and PCB layouts.
- Bring up and troubleshoot circuit boards to ensure proper functionality.
- Collaborate with mechanical optical and testing team members on assembly automation projects.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of designs processes and test results.
- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve overall design quality.
- Assist in the development and implementation of testing procedures for electronic components.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electronics design.
Education & Experience
- BS or MS inElectrical Engineering or related technical fields.
- 1-2 years of related experience is preferred.
Skills
- Solid foundation in analog and digital circuit design.
- Very familiar with PADS software.
- Ability to work with little supervision and manage assigned tasks effectively.
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies and tools to develop innovative solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Working Conditions
- Good office working required to work in a Class 10000 clean-room environment wearing smock with mask and gloves.
- This is a full time On-site Role
Physical Requirements
Able to move light equipment and tooling (<25lbs) as needed when setting up test benches.
Safety Requirements
All employees are required to attend scheduled trainings follow site EHS procedures and Corporate EHS standards. This includes the use of proper protective equipment (PPE) as required by the job responsibilities.
Managers will ensure that all safety and environmental procedures are followed consistently. They will ensure that risk assessments are performed proper training work instructions required PPE is available and will monitor compliance.
Quality and Environmental Responsibilities
Depending on location this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
