Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Electromechanical Technician with a focus on mechanical assembly, particularly within avionics systems for drones. This hands-on role requires specialized skills in PCBA assembly, electronic potting, and adherence to strict manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex electro-mechanical assembly tasks independently, using schematics, drawings, verbal, or written instructions.
• Assemble and test avionics components, including PCB assemblies, cable harnesses, and integrated modules, while applying precision adhesives and bonding techniques.
• Provide real-time design and assembly feedback to Manufacturing and Quality teams, and escalate and resolve build issues through proper channels.
• Follow detailed Manufacturing Process Instructions and strict safety procedures when building assemblies.
• Meet aggressive deadlines and flexibly shift priorities across multiple projects.
• Record and update data meticulously.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical PCBA assembly experience.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, torque drivers, drills, and calipers.
• Ability to read and follow basic SOPs and non-technical instructions.
• Strong soldering skills.
• Experience with enclosure integration and torque-controlled fastening.
• Proficiency in cable and harness routing.
• Knowledge of electronic potting processes.
• Experience with bonding composites like carbon fiber and epoxies.
• Ensuring waterproofing and environmental protection.
• Basic computer skills, including MacOS or Microsoft.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, good judgment, and proactivity.
• Strong attention to detail.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of South San Francisco, CA.

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $33.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in South San Francisco,CA.
