Accounts Payable Specialist

Lend strength to Bethel Church of Redding to see the expansion of God’s kingdom by managing all Accounts Payable

related processes and details, and therefore empowering the broader organization to function well in managing Bethel

finances.

Position Type: Full time, non-exempt hourly

Hours: 40

Salary Range: $25/hr

Responsibilities :

• Manage accounts payable for two legal entities using in-house accounts payable and accounting software.

• Review all bills submitted for accuracy and for proper supporting documentation and adhering to approval and other internal policies.
• Pay all bills on a weekly basis by managing the flow of bills from over 20 departments
• Create a report with a list of bills to be paid each week to be sent to the CFO for final signoff before bills are paid.
• Process monthly sales and commissions and quarterly royalty payments
• Manage monthly credit card billing cycle, including monthly submissions of credit card transactions and ensuring all are in compliance with internal policies.
• Analyze and approve that all submitted credit card expenditures are correctly documented and recorded
• General data entry related to supporting departments with their receipts
• Vendor Management in accounting software
• Oversee proper 1099 documentation & reporting
• Ensure vendors have proper documentation
• Receptionist for the Accounting office. Answer questions or direct guests to the right person as needed.
• Customer service for Bethel departments as it relates to AP and AP software, as well as managing Accounting cards checked out to departments.
• AP software administrator for all access and cards related access.
• Manage AP email box.
• Manage Accounting office supplies

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced
• environment
• 2 + years’ experience in customer service, accounts payable or similar role
• Attention to detail and administrative skill set
• Professional communication skills
• Highly Organized and excellent time management skills
• Computer skills
• Ability to work under pressure during high volume seasons
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in processes and software

• Accounting background and / or accounting degree and interest
