Growth Team Director
Position Summary:
Are you a senior advertising sales leader looking to help lead the continued growth of a thriving sales division for a growing marketing firm? We are a creative & marketing firm that is innovating marketing in the white space, on the edge of the digital verse.
Overview:
The Growth Director will be responsible for the performance and scaling of one of the Marketing Firms sales teams to meet ambitious revenue growth and market expansion. The Director is responsible for executing our company's growth mission and vision by leading and growing a team of talented sales professionals. They are an instrumental Executive team member and are expected to bring new ideas and strategies to move their division and our agency forward.
The Growth Director's overall purpose is to oversee their teams strategic sales vision, strategies, execution, and performance. The duties include working closely with the VP of Growth & Marketing, as well as all members of the executive leadership team, to determine the company's business goals, mission, objectives, or initiatives, setting direction, planning & execute rollouts, following up on execution, and managing performance of the division.
Directors Core Duties and Responsibilities:
As one of the members of our organization's leadership team, the Growth Team Director is tasked with leading their team and projects simultaneously within the company and industry. This means having extensive knowledge of the marketing & advertising industry, sales training, hr compliance, budgeting, efficient process development, budgeting & expense control, and staff output while understanding and striving to meet the company's strategic goals, mission, values, and beliefs. This is a visionary, and growth-minded role within the executive team.
Examples of behaviors and tasks this leader must need to perform:
- Must consistently drive sales across all sales team members.
- Coach and develop a sales team focused on new account acquisition.
- Manage team's ongoing sales pipeline and enforce use and adoption of agency CRM, Sales Playbook, SOP's, KPI's and best practices.
- Cultivate their own ongoing sales pipeline with a targeted number of outgoing sales calls per week; initiate, develop, foster, and procure new client relationships for The AD Leaf Marketing Firm.
- Develop, facilitate, and participate in ongoing sales and product training.
- Develop, analyze, and provide regular sales & performance reports to Growth leadership.
- Attend and bring value to all company-directed training and staff meetings.
- Exude company culture, and be a company brand evangelist in all things you say or do.
- Possess an unwavering set of ethics and morals in all things you think, say, or do.
- At all times role model all company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Build lasting and extremely strong professional interpersonal relationships with executives, mid-managers, leaders, and staff.
- Tackling unforeseen issues and troubleshooting and proactively working to develop new solutions to ensure our company's values, mission, and standards are always executed.
- Representing the company for external and internal events.
- Monitoring the competitive landscape and attending industry events to stay abreast of new initiatives and opportunities for agency growth.
- Identifying, training, and developing leaders within the division and setting them on a path for future development.
- Being a positive, professional role model for our leaders, mid-management, and staff members
What We Require:
- Previous experience in building and leading successful sales teams in the marketing or media space.
- Marketing or Adverstising agency experience is a plus.
- Experience in and a passion for, Digital Marketing.
- Proven ability to build sales systems.
- Experience in recruitment and development of sales professionals.
- Strong background in selling is required; preferably in marketing or media solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close high-value deals.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills are required.
