**Job Description:**

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Analyst to join our North America Controllership team. This team is responsible for managing the accounting and finance operations for our corporate activities in North America, and is part of the broader Global Controllership function within our Global Finance department.

In this role, you will report to a Senior Manager and oversee the accounting activities related to the North America close and Global Consolidation. Your responsibilities will include managing the month-end close process, conducting analytical reviews, and researching technical and operational accounting issues.

As a Senior Accounting Analyst, you will lead a team that collaborates with various finance business functions, providing essential accounting support. This high-visibility position offers significant responsibilities and opportunities for cross-functional collaboration.

You will play a key role in improving the close-the-books process, optimizing systems, scaling accounting infrastructures, and standardizing processes globally. **Key Responsibilities:**

- **Ownership of Strategic Investments, Debt Securities, and Debts:**
- Manage accounting and reporting for equity and debt investments.
- Ensure accurate recording and reporting of debt securities and related activities.
- Oversee accounting for various debt instruments, including bonds, notes, and loans.
- Prepare and post journal entries for investment and debt transactions.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations for related accounts.
- Ensure compliance with relevant ASC codifications.

- **Reconciliation and Accounting Close:**
- Execute reconciliations for accounts related to strategic investments and debts.
- Analyze and resolve discrepancies in account reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting close processes.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and related disclosures.

- **Treasury Accounting:**
- Monitor and reconcile cash activities related to investments and debts.
- Record and analyze foreign currency transactions.
- Manage debt instruments, including interest accruals and amortization.
- Ensure accurate accounting for investments, including mark-to-market adjustments.
- Assist with the implementation of treasury management systems.
- Oversee intercompany loans and related interest.
- Develop and enhance treasury-related policies and procedures.

- **Collaboration:**
- Work closely with Global Treasury, Finance, and regional accounting teams to ensure accurate accounting and reporting.
- Support internal and external audit requests related to Treasury accounting.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives as needed.

- **Review and Supervision:**
- Review settlement and cash journal entries and reconciliations prepared by the Center of Excellence (CoE) for accuracy and compliance.
- Provide feedback and guidance to the CoE team on discrepancies or improvements.

- **External Reporting:**
- Prepare flux analysis and PBC (Prepared by Client) documentation for external reporting.
- Collaborate with external auditors to provide necessary information and support during audits.
- Ensure compliance with all external reporting requirements and timelines.

**Work Environment:**

This is a hybrid position, allowing you to alternate between remote work and office attendance. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week, based on business needs.

**Qualifications:**

**Basic Qualifications:**
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 3 years of work experience with an advanced degree (e.g., Master's, MBA).
- CPA equivalent, or CPA in progress, with relevant professional accounting experience, preferably in a publicly traded company or public accounting firm.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
- 7 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 5 or more years of relevant experience with an advanced degree (e.g., Master's, MBA).
- Familiarity with ASC 320, ASC 470, and ASC 321.
- Strong accounting, quantitative, and analytical skills, with the ability to apply U.S. GAAP to various business situations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and interact at all levels.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle or SAP financial systems.
- Background in continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley internal control compliance.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
- A collaborative team player who values input from others and has experience working with global teams.

**Additional Information:**

- **Work Hours:** Varies based on departmental needs.
- **Travel Requirements:** This position may require travel 5-10% of the time.
- **Mental/Physical Requirements:** This position will be performed in an office setting, requiring the ability to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, and operate standard office equipment.

**Salary Information:**

The estimated salary range for this position is $124,600 to $180,650 per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments. Salary may vary based on job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This position may also be eligible for bonuses and equity, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and a Wellness Program.
