General Summary:

This individual possesses the solid engineering fundamentals and understanding with some supervision in the developing, creating, and modifying of general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions. Designs software or customizes software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. Modifies existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and space constraints. Confers with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Stores, retrieves, and manipulates data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements. Designs, develops, and modifies software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Works on development, integration, test, debugging and validation of real time embedded software, embedded microcontroller firmware, communication protocols and platforms for wireless chipsets including features enabled by 5G, AI and/or other current and future technologies. Develops and debugs platforms in-addition to on target development. Investigates and propagates fixes for the software failures on the Kernel and User Space stack. Identifies, evaluates, and implements tools and processes to continually improve the software development process and provide continuous support to costumer issues. Creates detailed engineering documentation, provides input to project planning and timescales, prepares technical specifications and requirements, and works closely with software leads to resolve all issues gating commercial launches. Participates at design reviews and project meetings.

Will accept a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field and one (1) year of experience in a related occupation.

Pay Range: $115,123.00 - $166,900.00/year
