CAD Designer – Plant 3D & Civil 3D (Entry-Level)
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)
Duration: 1-Year Contract
Compensation: $45–$48/hour DOE
Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week.
We are seeking an Entry-Level CAD Designer with strong technical software knowledge to support utility infrastructure design projects. This role is ideal for a designer with 3–5 years of experience who is proficient in Plant 3D and Civil 3D and is looking to grow within a structured, team-driven environment.
This position is software-focused and supports model inquiries, database review, and design documentation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review internal design databases to identify existing models applicable to project requests.
- Support model inquiry requests and assist with design updates.
- Produce and modify piping layouts using Plant 3D.
- Utilize Civil 3D to support plan and profile development.
- Work with Google Earth and KMZ files to support location-based design validation.
- Follow established workflows, standards, and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and project staff.
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in a Designer, Drafter, or related CAD role.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Working knowledge of Civil 3D.
- Experience supporting piping design and layout.
- Experience using Google Earth and KMZ files.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow direction.
- Clear communication and team collaboration skills.
- Stable work history with verifiable software proficiency.
- Exposure to Power Apps.
- Familiarity with P&IDs and basic process documentation.
- Exposure to transmission or utility pipeline projects.
Work Schedule:
- Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week.
- First 2 months: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday required onsite.
- After 2 months: Monday required, additional 2 onsite days flexible.
