Sr. Superintendent

Summary

Our client is a highly successful, well-known, and extremely sought-after commercial construction general contractor. They are in immediate need of a Senior Superintendent to lead complex public works and commercial construction projects in Pleasanton, CA , and surrounding areas. This role demands a strong foundation in steel and concrete construction, structural building, and intricate systems like MEP, HVAC, and utilities. You will be responsible for leading challenging projects valued between $50M-$100M , including public works, educational facilities, and community-focused developments. Be the on-site expert managing all phases of construction, from steel and concrete foundations to final finishes.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Overseeing the integration of MEP, HVAC, and utility systems into complex builds.
• Ensuring safety and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Reviewing digital blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Monitoring project schedules, establishing critical paths, and maintaining progress.
• Leading subcontractor coordination meetings to ensure smooth collaboration.
• Building trust with owners, architects, and design teams through regular communication.
• Providing detailed daily progress reports and weekly schedule updates.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 12+ years of construction experience , with 8-10 years in a senior supervisory role .
• Strong experience in ground-up public works or commercial construction valued at $50M+.
• Expertise in steel and concrete foundations, structural building, and systems integration.
• Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with owners, design professionals, and trade partners.
• Technical Proficiency
  • Experience with Procore , Microsoft Office , and MS Project .
  • Ability to manage and interpret civil and digital blueprints .
• Certifications and Requirements
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Must pass a drug and background test.
  • Local to Pleasanton/Bay Area , or willing to relocate.

Competitive Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $150K–$200K+ (DOE).
• Vehicle Allowance: $1,200/month.
