Manufacturing ERP Order & Returns Specialist
A day in the role
You start your morning reviewing overnight emails from dealers and retailers, confirming where each furniture order sits in the production queue. A customer calls asking for a delivery ETA—you check the ERP record, coordinate with the warehouse on staging, and ping logistics for the truck’s timeline. Later, you notice a mis-shipment alert and swiftly open an RMA, documenting photos and notes so the replacement and credit move without friction. Throughout the day, you keep production, warehouse, and logistics aligned, and you close the loop with customers with clear, timely follow-up.
What you’ll do
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email, providing order and shipping updates with clarity and accuracy
- Enter and maintain orders in an ERP system, ensuring clean data and on-time handoffs
- Coordinate lead times and deliveries with production, warehouse, and logistics teams
- Triage and resolve issues, including shortages, mis-shipments, delays, damages, and claims
- Process and track RMAs (returns, replacements, credits), keeping thorough documentation
- Communicate proactively, follow up consistently, and escalate when the situation requires it
Must-have qualifications
- 2+ years of customer service experience within manufacturing or distribution
- Demonstrated job stability and a strong work history
- Exceptional accuracy, organization, and professional communication
- Comfort with Outlook and Excel
Big plus
- Hands-on ERP experience (any major platform)
- Direct background with RMAs, returns, and claims
- Furniture or made-to-order product experience
