Senior HVAC Designer / Engineer
Senior HVAC Designer / Engineer position in Orange County, CA
We are a large, growing Plumbing and HVAC Mechanical Contractor currently hiring for an HVAC Designer/Engineer. This is a permanent position with a great salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
- Work with our Engineering and Design teams on current and future hvac drawings and engineering load calculations
- Review and Design hvac systems within drawings provided by Architects and Owners
- Build ISO and Fab Drawings
- Work closely with Engineering, Design and BIM teams
- Design layouts for ductwork, piping systems, chilled water, hot water, air handling systems, heat rejection systems, and other mechanical systems
- Coordinate with other internal teams and external trades in BIM Coordination meetings
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
- EIT or PE License
- LEED AP Certification
- HVAC Engineering and Design experience
- Advanced knowledge of CA PHVAC Codes and ASHRAE requirements
- Working experience for Mechanical/HVAC contractor and/or MEP Design Engineer firm
- Large project experience working on Schools, Healthcare-OSHPD, high-rises, hotels, and/or airports
- Local to Orange County
