Registered Nurse (RN) – Correctional Setting

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90012
Shift: 8-hour shifts
Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Duration: 16-week assignment

Position Summary

Seeking highly skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) with experience in a correctional or forensic healthcare setting. The RN will provide direct patient care in a secure environment and must be comfortable working with incarcerated populations and collaborating with security personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients in a correctional healthcare setting
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare and security teams
• Ensure compliance with clinical policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum one (1) year of correctional nursing or inpatient experience
• Experience working in a secure or forensic environment preferred
• Current certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Crisis Prevention or Management certification
