Analyst, Strategic Analytics - Battery Storage - Remote | WFH

As part of the transition from a carbon-based grid to a renewable energy grid, large-scale energy storage is crucial to balancing intra-hour supply and demand. Energy storage is the key to enabling high levels of renewable generation, including solar and wind. The Strategic Analytics Analyst will work closely with the Director of Business Operations & Strategic Analytics. In this role, you'll play a critical part in supporting data management, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. You will help streamline the company's data assets, create analytics tools that enhance development processes, and produce insightful financial and operational reports. Key Responsibilities
Dashboard and Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics tools that streamline workflows and provide clear visibility into organizational data and finances.
Data Integrity and Quality Control: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data, aligning on data management and quality control practices.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Finance, Accounting, Development, Legal, EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction), Commercial, Asset Operations, Data Science, Software Engineering, and IT to support data-driven decision-making.
Workflow Automation: Identify opportunities to automate workflows, reduce manual reporting tasks, and enhance operational efficiency with modern data tools.
Performance Tracking: Assist in developing, tracking, and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to support project tracking and strategic decision-making.
Standard Operating Procedures: Help develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to strategic analytics, ensuring alignment with internal policies and industry best practices.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or a data-focused role.
Ability to synthesize and present complex data in a clear and actionable manner.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results.
Proficiency with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms (Intermediate to advanced).
Proficiency with Microsoft Power Query, SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools (Intermediate to advanced).
Basic experience with Microsoft Power Apps or other low-code programming tools is a plus.
Familiarity with end-to-end data management platforms like Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) at an intermediate to advanced level.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment.
Compensation, Location, and Benefits
We offer competitive compensation, starting at $80,000 annually, with potential adjustments based on experience, skills, and location. In addition to salary, this position is eligible for our annual bonus program. Our flexible work options include the ability to work remotely or in a hybrid model from offices in San Francisco, Houston, Chicago, Seattle, or Palm Beach.
