Physical Therapist Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1750 - $1790
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Physical Therapist)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Acute Care, Trauma, ICU, Pelvic Rehab, Vestibular, Women's Health
• Location: Houston, TX 77090 (Houston healthcare jobs)
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/08/2025 – End: 12/08/2025)
• Shift: 8-hour days (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend per month
• Electronic Medical Record: Meditech
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs

Physical Therapist Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Texas
• BLS certification (required for all PT jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care hospital settings
• Preferred: Experience in trauma, ICU, pelvic rehab, vestibular, and women's health
• Ability to float to medical, surgical, IMU, and ICU units as needed
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality physical therapy services to diverse patient populations in a hospital setting
• Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs for acute care and trauma patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including PTs, PTAs, and rehab techs
• Utilize mobility equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, and Sara Stedy
• Document patient care and progress using Meditech EMR
• Provide weekend coverage as scheduled
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations
