Traffic Clerk

Connect Staffing is hiring a Traffic Clerk for a freezer warehouse distribution center in Riverside, CA. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $19.00/hr. In this role, you will schedule and check in/out drivers for inbound and outbound loads, verify shipping documents, and enter shipment data into WMS and ERP systems. This is a long-term placement with a direct path to becoming part of the facility's core team.

Responsibilities

• Verify BOLs (Bills of Lading), packing slips, and invoices for accuracy on inbound and outbound shipments.
• Communicate with carriers, dispatchers, and internal warehouse teams about load status and delays.
• Assign dock doors and coordinate loading and unloading activities.
• Maintain logs and records of shipments, trailers, and dock activity.
• Resolve shipment discrepancies and report issues to supervisors.
• Support customers and carriers with shipment status inquiries.

Minimum Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in a logistics, transportation, or warehouse environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage and reconcile shipment discrepancies in a warehouse or distribution setting
• Experience coordinating directly with carriers or third-party logistics providers
• Experience with SAP or a TMS (Transportation Management System).
• Familiarity with dock scheduling and trailer yard management.
• Experience working in a freezer or cold storage distribution environment.
• Strong data entry accuracy with high-volume shipment records.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish — helpful for communicating with drivers and warehouse staff.
• Hands-on experience with warehouse management system (WMS) (Warehouse Management System) or ERP systems for data entry and shipment tracking.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work at a fast pace in a high-volume distribution environment.
• Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Drug screen required.
• Background check required.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify).
