Payroll Coordinator
Under the direct supervision of Vice President of Accounting performs accounting and bookkeeping duties as assigned. Is responsible for an accurate semi-monthly federal contract payroll and accuracy of other fiscal records as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Some college accounting courses preferred. Two years bookkeeping experience may substitute college courses.
- At least 18 years of age
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Excellent driving record
- Ability to pass background screening
- Ability to pass drug screening
- Possess a working telephone (this requirement reflects the fact that many positions rely on a timekeeping application to record work hours)
- Must be knowledgeable in bookkeeping and clerical procedures and in the operation of office equipment.
- Must be able to work accurately with numbers.
- Must be able to type accurately.
- Experience in using computer systems is highly desirable particularly Microsoft Office products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English well
- Must be able to accurately complete payroll for approximately 105 people within 4 days of the end of pay cycle.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to balance, climb, bend, stoop, reach, and kneel
- Have use of arms, hands, and fingers
- Lift up to 25 lbs.
- Walk, stand and/or sit for at least eight hours a day
