Compliance Product Manager, Safety

Roblox is looking for a Compliance Product Manager with deep subject matter expertise in Online Safety to help build and mature our regulatory compliance program from the ground up. This critical role is dedicated to supporting safety-related compliance requirements, focusing heavily on enforcement workflows and platform configuration. 

The ideal candidate is deeply collaborative and thrives when working cross-functionally to address key safety challenges across domains such as enforcement and moderation tools, safety infrastructure configuration, and content regulation. The ideal candidate has technical and regulatory expertise in online safety, strong problem-solving skills, and exceptional cross-functional collaboration abilities.

You will:

• Develop and drive the Safety compliance product roadmap for new legal obligations, particularly focusing on user safety features, content moderation tooling, and regulatory reporting mechanisms.


• Translate complex regulatory requirements into concise, clear, and executable functional requirements for product teams.


• Develop and implement compliance strategies in partnership with cross-functional teams across Safety, Legal, and Public Policy.


• Work with distributed feature teams to track and execute regulatory safety compliance initiatives.


• Drive escalations through governance forums and ensure alignment with key stakeholders on compliance risks related to content and user safety


• Scale regulatory readiness efforts through process optimization, training, and communication materials for product teams.


• Work closely with engineers, designers, and data analysts to build and implement safety features and tooling that meet compliance requirements and enhance user trust.


• Conduct gap analyses to identify discrepancies between regulatory requirements and existing product strategies related to online safety, supporting necessary adjustments.


• Guide other product and program managers in navigating new online safety and content regulation best practices.


• Prepare communication materials and progress tracking for senior leadership and other stakeholders.

You have:

• 5+ years of experience as a product manager working with legal, policy, and product teams, with a strong focus on Safety, content regulation, regulatory compliance, operational risk management, or policy enforcement.


• Previous experience working in Safety is preferred


• Experience building moderation tooling, enforcement platforms, or safety features for consumer-facing products.


• Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills, particularly in cross-functional and global roles.


• Proven cross-functional collaboration with legal, policy, engineering, design, and Trust & Safety teams to integrate safety requirements into product development, policies, and operations.


• Experience conducting quantitative and statistical product analysis, particularly with data related to enforcement actions, user reports, and safety metrics.


• Strong product management, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a track record of delivering operational results.


• Familiarity with global and emerging safety regulations such as the EU Digital Services Act (DSA), UK Online Safety Bill, and other content and child protection laws.


• Ability to drive alignment across cross-functional teams and navigate competing perspectives effectively.
