The RDA plays a crucial role in supporting the orthodontist in delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in orthodontic procedures, has excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Schedule

• This is a full-time position
• Monday-Friday 10AM-6PM

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Take and develop x-rays as directed by the orthodontist.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Manage patient scheduling and appointment confirmations.
• Handle patient inquiries via phone and email, providing exceptional customer service.
• Verify insurance benefits and assist patients with financial arrangements.
• Manage inventory and order office/clinical supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with the dental team to improve patient flow and enhance the overall patient experience.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Orthodontic Assistant (OA) license in California.
• Certification in radiology, coronal polishing, and CPR (as required by state regulations).
• Previous orthodontic experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Proficiency in dental software
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
• Ability to multi-task, work efficiently, and remain detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
• A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
