About the role

We're looking for exceptional fullstack engineers and product thinkers who want to leverage the Grok model to make new product experiences. This is a small, high-impact team dedicated to creating the world’s most valuable AI applications, judged by the impact it delivers to users. You’ll shape cutting-edge experiences, blending technical mastery with product brilliance. An ideal candidate meets at least the following requirements:

What You'll Do

• Make Grok's consumer products fast, scalable, and reliable.


• Help push forward the user experience of chatting with Grok and deploy breakthrough innovations to millions of users.


• Obsess over every millisecond and byte, ensuring end-to-end quality and performance at scale across a rich suite of products and user platforms.

Who You Are

• Experienced in building products with deep integrations to LLMs.


• Experienced with building products from 0 to 1.


• Expert in TypeScript or Python, and preferably some experience with Rust.


• In-depth knowledge and experience building high performance.


• Obsessed with performance and product experience.


• Tech Stack: TypeScript, Python, Rust

Interview Process

After submitting your application, the team reviews your CV and statement of exceptional work. If your application passes this stage, you will be invited to a 15-30 minutes phone interview, during which a member of our team will ask technical questions. If you clear the phone interview, you will proceed to next steps:

1. Deep dive coding challenge


2. Meet and greet with the wider team


3. Our goal is to complete the process within one week. All interviews will be conducted in person when applicable.

Location

The role is based in Palo Alto. Candidates are expected to be located near the Bay Area or open to relocation.
