What You'll Do
As the Facility Manager, you'll serve as the primary leader for all facility and plant operations, ensuring the building operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with healthcare standards. You'll oversee maintenance teams, vendors, budgets, and operational performance while driving continuous improvement across the facility.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise facility maintenance and plant operations teams
Manage daily operations, preventive maintenance programs, and work order systems
Oversee regulatory compliance, life safety programs, and environmental safety initiatives
Ensure building systems and equipment are maintained to all applicable state, federal, and local requirements
Monitor budgets, control operational expenses, and support financial performance goals
Analyze key performance metrics and develop action plans to improve service delivery
Coordinate maintenance projects, vendor services, and critical facility operations
Develop and mentor staff while promoting a culture of safety and accountability
Ensure compliance with infection control procedures and workplace safety standards
Maintain documentation, reporting, and operational records while supporting continuous process improvement
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in healthcare facilities management, plant operations, engineering, or maintenance leadership
Previous supervisory or management experience with responsibility for personnel and budgets
Strong knowledge of facility maintenance programs, regulatory compliance, and healthcare operations
Experience managing preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities while leading technical and administrative teams
