Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in the specialty License: Current relevant nursing license Certifications: ACLS, NRP, Fetal assessment Must-Have: - 3+ years of recent strong experience in Labor & Delivery - Competence in handling high-risk pregnancies - Ability to perform vaginal examinations - Strong fetal heart monitoring skills - Certifications in NRP, BLS, and ACLS Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Labor & Delivery unit. The facility includes 10 Labor Delivery Rooms, 2 Operating Rooms, and 10 Antepartum rooms. The unit handles approximately 240 deliveries per month. The staff nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients during labor and delivery. The nurse will work with a patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:4 based on patient acuity. Support staff includes Certified Nursing Assistants and Unit Clerks. Anesthesia and pediatricians are available 24/7, along with neonatologists on-call. The nurse will need to have experience with high-risk cases, including diabetes, pre-eclampsia, and advanced maternal age. Floating to Mother Baby unit may be required. Professional appearance is expected, including clean and respectful street clothes. Footwear must be non-skid and closed-toe. Jewelry must be minimal and professional, with hair neatly pulled back if shoulder length or longer. Documentation and medication systems used include Epic and Pyxis. Evening and weekend work is required, along with availability for major holidays. The patient population includes a variety of high-risk diagnoses, necessitating experience with specialized equipment. About Cynet Health
