Responsibilities

We are looking for an RN, First Assistant, to join our growing team! In your role, you will have the opportunity to provide direct patient care in the surgical environment and work collaboratively with the surgeon and other team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

You will have multiple opportunities to learn and grow while working under the direct supervision of the surgeon during the intraoperative phase and function as a Scrub Nurse or Circulating Nurse when not functioning in your First Assistant role.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Public Health required
• Successful completion of an RNFA program that meets the Association of Perioperative RN (AORN) standards required
• Credentialed by the CHS Medical Staff Office as an Allied Health Professional and privileged to perform RN First Assistant standardized procedures required

Experience:

• 1 year of relevant experience required

License/Certifications:

• • RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required within 180 days of hire or transfer into position
